How do I create an account?

Click on the 'Register' button in the top right corner and fill in your details. You'll need to verify your email address to complete the registration.

What languages does Olux support?

Olux is available in French, English, German, Luxembourgish and Portuguese. All listings have translations available in those languages. You may also search by keyword using any of those 5 languages and listings will be retrieved. You can change your preferred language at any time in the menu.

How can I post an item for sale?

Once logged in, click the 'Sell' button, choose a category, add photos and description, set your price, and publish your listing.

Is it free to list items?

Yes, posting items on Olux is completely free. We don't charge any fees for listing or selling items.

Why are listings moderated by an human?

We do have a semi-automated moderation, but in 15 years of experience in marketplaces, we learned that most scammers use listings that look very real, and it's still very difficult to spot through automated ways.

Why am I required to give my address and phone number to publish an item?

We ask our users for their addresses because it helps us to identify if the listing is authentic or fake. Your addresses are never shown or disclosed in the platform. The marker in the map shows a random point between 200 and 400 meters away from your real address. We ask the phone numbers so we can verify the ownership of the number, but we only display the phone number if you wish to do so.

How do I contact a seller?

On any listing page, you'll find a 'Message' button to send a direct message to the seller, or you can click 'Phone number' to reveal their contact number.

What payment methods are accepted?

Payment is arranged directly between buyer and seller. We recommend meeting in person for cash transactions or using secure payment methods for your safety.

How do I delete my listing?

Go to 'My Items' in your profile, find the listing you want to remove, and click the delete option.

Can I edit my listing after publishing it?

Yes, you can edit listing after publishing, but depending on the changes your listing will be moderated again.

How many listings can I publish it?

You can publish as many listing as you wish, as long as they're not similar, the same item, or if you are a professional seller.

How can I report a suspicious listing?

On every listing detail page, there's a flag icon on it. Click it to report inappropriate content, scams, or policy violations. Our team will review the report based on level of violation.

How can I change my password?

When you're logged in, go to your profile on the top-right. In your profile page, in the section below you can change your password.

I forgot my password. How can I recover it?

You can recover your password by going to the login page, clicking on 'Forgot your password?' link, and then put your email. You'll receive a link to reset your password.
